Hopa Mountain supports community leaders of all ages in realizing the hopes and dreams for their hometowns.
Community leaders are those individuals who step forward when others look to them for help. Hopa Mountain provides these leaders with training, mentoring, networking opportunities, and financial resources to help them create much-needed opportunities for advancing the education, ecological health, and economic well-being of their communities.
Hope is the fundamental prerequisite for positive change. Working together, we can create a mountain of hope for the future of rural and tribal communities. The possibilities for sustained improvements in economic, environmental, and social health lie in the strength, innate wisdom, and creativity of local people–in their relationships with each other and the land. They know their communities' needs and have good ideas for strength-based solutions.
