Creating Boards that Lead is a full-day workshop designed for both management and board members that explores how to form and maintain a governing body that promotes a healthy and successful nonprofit organization. Critical governance, leadership, and management issues will be examined including: Strategic to action planning; organizational culture; board roles and legal responsibilities; effective oversight and budgeting strategies; recruiting and maintaining an active board; effective committee structure; and executive director/board relationships.
